We stumbled upon a grimey 24 hour bowling alley which also turned out to be a

motel/ diner/arcade/ and pool hall...needless to say, amazing.

I had been looking at much of Danny Lyon's work, from the late 60's, where he was

photographing the Outlaw Motorcycle club, which he ultimately became a part of, and

I began to form a vision of a shoot I was interested in doing....Rhett was the perfect character.

I've known Rhett for at least 6 years now and wanted to shoot him in the depths of his hometown.

So, I packed up my camera and a handful of film and drove deep into the valley, Reseda to be exact.

I hope everyone picked up the Sept. issue of Spin!

So excited to have been featured with a handful of my friends in

such an iconic magazine!!

The shoot was fun..I arrived at Brett's house and immediately

made my grand entrance into the screen door..from there on out I knew it was gonna be a solid night.

There was quite a bit of waiting around but I didn't mind browsing

through all the stunning pulls!

I slipped on vintage Dior and Burberry but we decided on a killer stripped Jeremy Scott dress.

You can't quite see it in the picture, but it looked hot.

We paired it with stripped socks and an amazing pair of leopard Steve Madden shoes,

I even had a translucent vinyl orange rain coat and mickey mouse lunch pale in

the first few shots, but those didn't make the cut.

----

This was the second time that I have had the privilege of working with this same team,

previously for another feature, and it was great!

It's so strange being in font of the camera rather than behind it, but I can't

say that I don't love it!

Make up.

I don't wear much, but have simple favourites that I hardly stray from.

I came across these NARS Lip Pencils and am dying to try em.

They are essentially lipstick in a pencil form, and that, I love.

I also have this clinique lip pencil in Whole Lotta Honey, its similar to the NARS but a little too glossy.

I also like my Eyeliner in a felt tip marker form...but we can talk about that another time.//
